Allen CERT Basic Training

Allen CERT is a volunteer program built on professionalism, safety, and teamwork in partnership with the Allen Fire Department. Members are trained to support their community during emergencies by operating within the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS), always acting within their level of training and assigned responsibilities. CERT volunteers are not required to respond, but when they do, they are expected to follow established procedures, prioritize personal and public safety, respect the chain of command, and represent the program with integrity and accountability. By joining Allen CERT, volunteers commit to serving their community responsibly, ethically, and collaboratively—before, during, and after emergencies.
